Can anyone give me an example of where/how they've used customizable properties?
You will find this under entering a Product only. Under CUSTOMIZATION.

Would like to see some examples of how this can be used.
Using 1.5.6.1 Agile Multiple Seller.

Custom Feature itself is from PrestaShop core function - it also implemented in our modules.
It can be used for customizable products such as you customer can specify during order process - for example customer can upload a logo for business card, upload a photo for T-shirt.
