Thanks for your response.

I will look at this more closely next week, just one last question that I just figured out. The membership module, is that one working with Quickbooks?

The membership module, is that one working with Quickbooks

I assume your "Quickbooks" is a payment module of PrestaShop.
1. The membership module should work with Quickbooks for membership payment.
2. But I don't know if Quickbooks has recurring payment function or not. Even it has recurring payment, I don't know if it will generate new order at each new payment or not. so I can not guarantee it will work with membership auto-renewal.

PrestaShop membership management module - Agile Membership

Sorry, one more last question,

We have existing members information in other database, and these are members that already paid for a year, and can expire any time. Is there any way to import these names and infos and paid membership?

One member can only have one type of membership at one time.

You can created another membership type for example membershipAB that contains the membership A and membership B. You set mebershipAB to those members have both membership A and B. That should work for you.

PrestaShop membership management module - Agile Membership

Postby rich.sharratt_1038 » Tue Dec 27, 2011 2:01 pm

Hello, I want to be able to offer a fully functional free 24 hour trial membership which then expires, and then customer has to upgrade to full membership. Is this possible? I do not want customer to be able to keep renewing the 24 hour trial.

Thanks, Richard

Hello Richard,
Thanks for your inquiry

Yes I think it is possible, but we will need some customization. We will need to add small customization to control the use for free membership.

By the way, what is typical membership period? 24 hours?

Hello Richard,
Just want to make correction to my previous reply to your question to the Agile membership management module. [I have made some modificaiton in previous post]

Actually, you can create free memberships at current version of membership module, what you need to do is to create a product with price = 0 and register this product under membership catergory. So to meet your needs, the only customization will be needed is to add a control to limit the use of free membership one time for each user.

Please let me know if have further questions.

Hi Richard,
I have just updated the Agile membership module and so it will meet all your needs.
Now it supports free membership and it also have the function that limit free memebrship to be used only one time per user.

And even more, when user try to purchase the same Free membership from 2nd time, there will be "Do not qualify" message displayed at shopping cart. and even user purchase the Free membership from 2nd time and after, it will not be added as valid membership.
