PrestaShop Multiple Seller module - Agile Multiple Seller

We\'ve testing your Addon and it works great.

But, we have a question: how every independent seller can manage its catalog?

We couldn\'t do this while testing the link you sent us.

Have a nice day and thanks for your cooperation.

There is no limit on the number of sellers, you can register as many as you want.
Eveery seller can have his/her privae categories and register as many product as they wnat.

there are many other features and accessory modules make Agile PrestaShop multiple seller module the best market place module of PrestaShop.

Can I have 1 catalog shared by several stores?

PrestaShop Multiple Seller module - Agile Multiple Seller

Postby julianeur_1204 » Sun Feb 05, 2012 4:35 am

I went through the demo. But still had some doubts. Our business model is quite similar to etsy.com or one of our Indian competitors.

1. Here the sellers are artisans. They have their own firm and at times few artisans get together and start their firm.
So as I see in the admin seller page, First and Last name is mandatory and company name is not. But I would like to have it just the reverse. Hope that I can tweak the code to make that change.

2. Our customers should be able to contact the seller. This is present in PS addon as well. I guess this feature is not present in your module. Would like to know the development cost for this module.

3. A dedicated seller page - I guess this feature is there. But I am concerned about the URL. I want the url to be displayed as www.sitename.in/store/seller_name. Just wanted to confirm this. This is something we promise to our seller so that they can use the link to market themselves. Moreover every seller will be having a subdomain for their marketing.

4. Paying to sellers. Currently I see the option to pay using only paypal. But PP is not used much in India and also it costs more [currency conversion]. So all I need is to pay the seller through a different channel say cheque and update the status in your seller commission module. This would require change in the module. Please let me know development cost for this too.

5. Adding few more inputs in seller registration form. Fb, Twitter and personal site details during registration. Hope I can manage this on my own.

6. Since I dont want my sellers to use customer login form for registration, I would like to have a dedicated seller registration form. Based on the details he send, I should be able to preview it and then accept him as a seller. So seller registration should happen in two ways - 1. From back-end where I register the seller. 2. From front-end, where seller can register himself/herself. I guess this needs to be developed too.

Thanks for the inquiry and thanks for sending the email.

I think you need make both as required, because firstname and lastname is used to register an employee of PrestaShop to be a seller account. You can make the changes if you know how to coding in PHP and know PrestaShop architecture.

2. Our customers should be able to contact the seller. This is present in PS addon as well. I guess this feature is not present in your module. Would like to know the development cost for this module.

seller and customer can communicate if the customer has an order. This is PrestaShop function in order detail page.
Customer - Order History page
Seller - back office order detail page

I guess you are talking about the communicate between seller and customer even without any purchase.
I have a plan to development another accessory module to implement this functionality.

Yes, are are right, you can use the Agile PrestaShop Seller Products module - an accessory module of Agile PrestaShop multiple seller module (PrestaShop market place module). Thr ULT can be improved, but need to add code in .htaccess file manually.

4. Paying to sellers. Currently I see the option to pay using only paypal. But PP is not used much in out country and also it costs more [currency conversion]. So all I need is to pay the seller through a different channel say cheque and update the status in your seller commission module. This would require change in the module.

We are trying to improve the Seller commission module so that you can pay seller through any payment method available at your store.

Currently there is seller account balance adjustment function that allows you input any payment out of PrestaShop of offline so that you can update the seller account balance. All these will be tracked in seller account balance.

For example when you got $300 payment from a seller, you can add this to seller's account as credit so, the seller's account balance will be deducted. And this will be kept in account history.

5. Adding few more inputs in seller registration form. Fb, Twitter and personal site details during registration. Hope I can manage this on my own.

Yes, you can do this if you know PHP coding and know PrestaShop architecture.

6. Since I dont want my sellers to use customer login form for registration, I would like to have a dedicated seller registration form. From front-end, where seller can register himself/herself. I guess this needs to be developed too.

The module is configurable to enable/disable customer to sign up as seller. The seller account will be waiting for approval. Until admin approve the seller account, the customer is not able to log in to back office as seller.

Hope I calrify your questions. But feeel free to ask if you have further questions.

Hi Shokinro,

You are simply too fast in replying. :)

For the 2nd one, the idea is a simple one. A user who is logged in should be able to mail the seller for the following reasons: 1. Order Status, 2. Product Customization 3. More details about the product. Since I am not planning to moderate the mails, but would like to have a copy of the mail to know what is the communication going on.

Yes, the demo site of Agile PrestaShop Multiple Seller module will be sent to your PM box shortly. Please check your private message.

Yes, you can set the module to let "allow customer sign up seller account" from front store.
You can also set to "allow customer sign up a seller account automatically when sign up a customer account". It is configurable at module configuration screen.
