PrestaShop Paypal module - Agile Paypal Express Checkout

Usually, there is a limit of currencies at your Pyapal account. You are not able to accept any currencies. That's why the module let you choose a currency restrictions. But customer is able to pay by any currencies as long as Paypal support.

But PayPal allows you to take Euros and Pounds by default. But Agile paypal express check out will only let people pay with the shop's default currency.
I mean... to help you understand better. All paypal account has no problem taking Euros, then why would Agile paypal express check out want to process the transaction in usd? (default currency)?

I don't think your Paypal account will be able to accept all currencies. So I don't think it is relevant.

You change to accept Euro instead of USD at the following place of PrestaShop backoffice

- Log in to your PrestaShop store back office
- Click "Payment" tab
- Look for the "Currencies restrictions" section of the page

Then you can change the currency for any payment modules there.

I have a quick question.
What if an existing customer, who has checked out an item from my shop before, comes back again and purchase something without logging in.
Will Agile PayPal Expr.. create a duplicated account?

I am just curious about it because my customers are more likely to return and shop again for more.

This has been considered. If the user purchase the products use the same payal account, then it will be automatically detected and linked to the existing account, it will not create duplicated accounts.

Agile PrestaShop Paypal Express Checkout module has been tested on PrestaShop 1.5 beta 1.5.0.9
It is compatible with Prestashop 1.5.

With this module can I offer a bi-weekly subscription and does it require any additional services through paypal to work? Paypal offers a Merchant Pro account with an add-on of recurring payments? Any thoughts would help. Also if the customer signs p for recurring and decides to cancel, can they do so from log-in account?

Yes, user subscribe bi-weekly (2 weeks) as recurring period.
You do not need any additional service from Paypal.

Customer can choose how many cycles to subscribe or choose unlimited cycles until cancelled.

But customer has to cancel the subscription at his/her Paypal account.

Paypal offers many different accounts with an add on feature to allow recurring payments. usually small business owner get a Paypal Pro account which allows them to process credit cards on the site...the question is what account do I need to have with paypal for the recurring feature to work properly. Thanks again for your clarification. As far as I know, there is no special requirements on your Paypal account to receive recurring payment, I think general business account or premier account should be working.
