Yes, you can use redirect at index.php file to redirect to seller list pages

I assume your Homepage means Seller products page?
Currently we do not have this features.

Is there a way to control the number of columns and rows in the sellers product page?
Right now it only shows one column of products close to the left side of the page, so there's a lot of "empty" space in the sellers product page. I would like to have 2 or 3 columns showing the products of a seller.

This is controlled by your theme, the module does not have any control on the number of columns.

How can I make translations of the Sellers information? I noticed that the flags near the text editor do not show as usual.
I had to write the store intro text translations in the same text area.

Unfortunately, the Seller info does not multi-language at this moment.
So you are not able to translates into different language based on customer languages.
It can be in only one language.

You are right, currently you we do not have this kind of module.
There is a free slider module from PrestaShop that included in PrestaShop 1.5
We may customize this module to integrate with Agile Multiple Seller module, so that it will be displayed on Seller's page.
