How can I change the length of "description" field

please read my previous message. There will be some limitation on the length of HTML field. Because of the HTML tag included in the length.

What dou mean when u sau "there are HTML Tags"?...I don't understand this concept....tags? Dou have some examples about? Thanks

HTML field will have many invisible HTML tags.

For Example, a bold text, you only see the text "a bold text" in bold style. but actually we have to save database as following

<strong>a bold text</strong>



Just the any web page, you only the the text part or images and style, if you right click your browser to open the HTML source code, you will see many invisible code there like

Anyway... Could I write more than 256 chars in the future or not?....

we will try to make it a little longer, but it is difficult to have accurate length.

Just to give an update on the seller info Description field length validation problem.
We have updated following file to fix the issue. But, as I explained in previous post, it will not be completely accurate because of the possible use of HTML tags.
The file is uploaded here, please download it and replace following file:

/modules/agilemultipleseller/SelllerInfo.php

Note:
1. Please make a backup of the original file before overwriting it.
2. This file is only compatible with Agile Multiple Seller 2.1.5.0. If the version your module is lower, please contact us.
If the version of your module higher than this, you do not need this file because the fix has been included.

I´ve fixed the new Selleinfo.php in the directory and it goes perfectly...I just write more and more than 256 characters :
