shipping calculated in commission but No option is selected

I have:
Agile Multiple Seller module Version : 2.1.5.0
Agile Seller Commission module Version : 1.2.8
Agile Paypal Parallel payment module Version : 1.0.1
Prestashop version 1.5.4.1

My commission rate is set at 8% + a transaction fee of .75cents. I do not want shipping fees included in the commission and have the 'No' option selected to reflect this.

When I login as a buyer, however, the Paypal order summary shows the break-up, but it is wrong. For example, a product for $55 + $11.90 postage comes up showing a commission of $4.27 on the item and a commission of $0.92 on shipping and handling - or $5.19 commission total.

It should be $4.40 commission + $0.75 transaction fee - or $5.15 commission total.

Likewise the seller, receives more for the item price and less for shipping.

The amount deducted is approximately the same, but the itemization is incorrect and it appears to the seller that I'm taking a commission on their shipping costs.

Thanks for using our modules.
If you allow multiple seller products in one shooping cart and your products requires shipping, then you will ned Agile Seller Shipping module so that each seller will have its own private carriers and so the shipping fee will be calculated seperately. Otheriesen the shipping has to be split into different sellers and this calculation will not be very accurately because of rounding issue.

Thank you for your reply, but that isn't the problem. We are not interested in the shipping module as we are a co-operative group and all ship from the same town.

In the cart, the shipping is calculated correctly and the commission is calculated correctly.

The problem is the way that the breakup is displayed to the customer on Paypal.

In this example - commission is 8% + .75cents transaction fee. $5.15 is correct commission and transaction fee for this sale, based on the item price of $55, but why does it is display like this?

The result is correct, please see calculation below

item $55
shipping $11.9
Total $66.9 --> This is the amount the customer has to pay.

Because you choose split the payment, so you will get $5.15 commission and seller will get $66.9 - $5.15 = $61.75

The Paypal screens shows

To you 5.15
To Seller 61.75

So that is correctly. And this is the way the module is designed. We have to tell Paypal the amount for each recipient.
What do you think is the best way to show this but still have correct amount to each recipient (Seller and Store), please let me know.

Please, I don't think you understand the point I'm trying to make.

I'm NOT disputing that the calculation is correct. I know it is correct, but what I'm trying to say is that it should not show shipping as part of the calculation.

The problem is that Paypal breaks up the $5.15 commission into item price commission $4.23 and shipping and handling commission $0.92. I know it equals $5.15 and that is the correct amount, but my question is why is it broken into item price and shipping and handling when I have elected not to have commission on shipping.

So to answer your question on how I think the breakup should be displayed, I would like it to show all the commission on the item price and none on shipping...

Commission
Item Price $5.15
Shipping and Handling $0.00

At the moment it shows like this...

Commission
Item Price $4.23
Shipping and Handling $0.92

Either way, the commission is $5.15 (which we agree is correct) but why does it look like part of the commission comes from the shipping fee, when I am not taking commission on shipping?

I think I got your point now. Yes your point makes sense. I didn't notice this.
It should be displaying as following.

Commission
Item Price $5.15
Shipping and Handling $0.00

We will investigate this to see what it the cause.
the payment and commission related calculation is quite complicated, it may take some time.

I spent some time to investigate the issue you reported. I tried different scenarios, but not able to reproduce the issue you reports.
I have tried with Agile Seller Shipping module and without Agile Seller Shipping module, either case is working fine.

You can see screenshot images below.
So please contact us at [email protected] to get the latest version of the module to see if it fixes the issue.
If the issue persists after update, then we may have to investigate at your store.

Also please kindly check if you have set any shipping at Paypal account side. I remember that Paypal also allow you set/charge shipping fee.

I have emailed support to request the updates you advise.

I'm not sure whether I need to update the Agile Seller Commission module or the Agile Paypal Parallel payment module or both. I notice that your Paypal Order Summary shows Processing Fee, where mine shows Commission, so the versions must be different.

I have no shipping fees set in Paypal.
