is there a module that exists where i can sell custom made products where the customer adds the length and width or length width and height and it calculates and adds to the cart? would you consider making that module?

Each product has a measurement of width,height and weight, you can entering this info at product details - shipping tab.

In my case I will be selling paintings.
So width and height will change, depending on the client requirement.
So for the same painting, I might have 5 or 6 different sizes. Nevertheless the shipping price will not change.
Can I define - while creating my products - different size & price. And ultimately, can I define a kind of "default pricing" so my sellers won't have to create the same matrix each time they add a new painting ( pricing will most probably be the same)

PrestaShop provide product attribute combination function, like CPU, RAM, DISK for computers.
The same way you can define attribute "width", "height" and define different price for each combination of width and height.

Yes sellers are able to use Attribute Combination.
And admin has to define the Attribute of "Frame Width" and "Frame Height" so that all sellers can use the same attribute.

Yes, seller can register one product to multiple categories by choose multiple category at association tab of product editing.

each seller has to enter their one products. so there is not default pricing.
