MultiShop Different Themes

The Agile Multishop Module states: "Each shop could have its own theme or share a theme, admin can assign the theme to a seller's shop."

How can this be accomplished? Is there some sort of guide or documentation?

We using PrestaShop shop management shops, you can specify theme for each shop, please check it here to find out how.

Well this document never mentions individual themes... or am I blind? Or does each shop have its own template directory? If so, where do I find them? Could you give me an example how to two assign two different themes to two different shops?

You have to install multiple themes first so that you can assign different theme to different sellers.
If you have only one theme, of course you can not assign different themes.

I copied the theme I currently have under another directory. So I got /themes/x and /themes/y, but the new theme isn't displayed under the multishop function (neither in the normal one).

What am I doing wrong?

Theme has to be installed to store, please check the theme intall manual.
You can also add new theme from back office - Preferences - Themes
