This is a tip for those online Store owners who are using Paypal as their payment method.
The Problem:
If you own multiple online stores and want you want to use one Paypal account to collect funds from sales, then you will need to configure the system to "allow invoice duplication", otherwise you may encounter the following errors.
"This invoice has been paid. For more information, please contact merchant."
Why does this error occur?
Paypal has a function to block the duplication of invoices. By default, this function is turned on.
In this case, when your customer tries to complete a payment from a different store, the invoice ID may have been used from another store, causing this error to be displayed.
The Solution:
This can be corrected by changing one setting from within PayPal. Simply log in to your PayPal account and do the following:
1. Click "Profile" on the top menu bar.
2. Click "My Selling Tools Preferences"
3. Look for "Block payments" and click "Update"
4. Under "Block Accidental Payments", choose "No, allow multiple payments per invoice ID".
Hope this helps...
