To purchase a free membership
To check your membership status
To renew a membership
Max Listing for a seller’ account
To browse through membership products
*** Customers can find all membership products in the store by browsing through Categories as usual.
A specific block showing all membership products can be added to the homepage of your store by checking the “Display Position” option in the module’s configuration page. (See here for instructions).
A new block will appear with all the membership products listed on the homepage.
To browse member only pages:
When a user with a valid (paid) membership signs in to the store, they will be able to view and access member only pages. However, a user without a valid membership cannot access those pages, and the message “Access Permission Denied” will be displayed.
There are a variety of ways in which customers can purchase a membership.
1. Buy the membership product by adding it to the cart.
- Customers can add membership products to their cart and check out as usual.
2. Buy the membership products when creating a new account.
- When a new customer wants to create a user account in the store, they will the click "Log in" button on the top right of the store’s homepage, then use the “Create your account” option.
After the customer enters their email address, and clicks the button “Create your account”, they will be directed to next page. At this point, the membership sign-up block will be at the top of the page for them to choose. All membership types will be listed in the provided drop-down menu.
If the new user chooses a membership product (for example, the free membership), then the shopping cart page with membership product will be displayed on the next page. The customer will confirm the order and proceed to check out.
3. “Force Membership Item”
If the customer does not have a valid membership, and the store admin has checked yes for “Force Membership Item” (see detailed instruction here), one membership product with the lowest price (e.g. the free membership shown below) will be automatically added to their shopping cart. This does not apply to a customer without any user account.
If a customer did not buy any membership, the shopping cart with the lowest priced membership product will be the first page they will see after logging in. Or, if the user stays signed in, there will be one membership product in their shopping cart when they open the store’s homepage.
To buy a membership is exactly like purchasing any other product in the store, the customer simply follows the checkout steps and confirms the order. Vouchers can also be used for purchasing membership products.
