Recommended PrestShop Version

Thanks for choosing Agile.
For customers using our Agile Multiple Seller module and its accessry modules, we highly recommend to use PrestaShop 1.6x or 1.7.5 or lower. PrestaShop has made some changes in versions higher than 1.7.6 that makes it possible or very difficult to implement some of features via hooks, or override, since required hooks or override is not available.

How To Set Up The Agile PrestaShop Prepaid Credit Module

This section is only a brief introduction to the basic steps of setting up the Agile Prestashop Prepaid Credit module in your store. You will find more detailed instructions in our User’s Guide for the Agile Prestashop Prepaid Credit module.

What is the purpose of the Agile PrestaShop Prepaid Credit/Tokens module?

This is a PrestaShop module that enables customers to use prepaid payment methods to purchase products at a PrestaShop store. Customers can purchase token packages (or credits) in advance, and then use those tokens to buy any product(s) in just one click without going through the standard checkout process. Customers can pre-purchase tokens/credits, and then purchase products through multiple transactions without having to use any other payment methods.

This module is great for customers purchasing downloadable products or online viewable digital services such as article, images, resumes, paid information, etc. And, it is great for some virtual products selling at low prices, which makes the checkout routine time-consuming and inconvenient. This module makes the checkout process simpler and quicker for customers who make regular purchases.

It is very simple and quick to set up this module, just follow these steps:

Installation -->  Data Preparation --> Configuration

Step 1: Installation

Installing the Agile PrestaShop Prepaid Credit module in your store is the first step. The installation is very easy and can be done in just a few clicks.  Please follow the instructions in the install_en.txt file included in the module package, or click here to see how to install an Agile PrestaShop module.

Step 2: Data Preparation

After installing this module, you will need to perform the following steps in your back office:

1. Create a specific category for all token packages (also referred to as token products).

You must log in and go to “Catalog” under the “Categories” tab, then click the “Add new” button to create a new category. For example, you can create a new category named “Tokens”.

2. Create token packages within the category you created in the step above.

Go to “Products” under the “Categories” tab, and create a few new products (token products) within the new category you created in the previous step. For example, you can create one product for a token package that contains 100 tokens (or credits).

Step 3: Configuration

The last step is to set up all the options to fit your needs.  Click on the “Modules” option under the “Modules” tab, search for the Agile PrestaShop Prepaid Credit module, and launch the module’s configuration page.  You will need to set all configuration applicable configuration options, then save the changes.

Token Settings:

* Product Repurchase:  Checking this option will allow customers to purchase the same product (token/credit package) multiple times.

* Checkout mode: There are three modes you can choose according to your needs.

   # One click checkout:

This mode will simplify the PrestaShop’s default check-out process by allowing the customer to check out in just one click.  The customer will finish the order and payment in one click if they have enough tokens/credits for selected product(s), or the customer will be redirected to the token category to purchase more tokens if they do not have enough tokens/credits in their account.

  #  Normal checkout

Customers can use the shopping cart to purchase multiple products in one order. When the customer initiates an order, they can choose whether they want to use tokens and how many tokens they would like to use toward payment.  Then, they will go through PrestaShop’s default check-out process to choose other payment methods for the balance.

  #  Combination

This setting will combine the above two checkout modes (one-click checkout mode and normal checkout mode).  The customer will validate their order and complete the payment in one click (if they have enough tokens for the selected product(s).  Otherwise, they will be directed to the shopping cart summary page to select a payment method.

* Token Unit Price: Used to set up a token’s value.

* Credit Product Category: Used to select the category which you created above in Step 2, which contains all token/credit packages.

* Token Package Block: Used to choose whether you want to display the token package block an the store’s homepage, and where you would like the block displayed  if chosen.

* Hide token info: Used to choose whether you would like to display or hide the token information on the product pages.
